Job Summary
The Restoration Specialist I within Strategic Operations is responsible for conducting research, outlining and organizing content, troubleshooting, writing, and creating the best resources in the restoration industry. This position reports to the Restoration Manager.
You will
Conduct research to identify market demands, standards, best practices, trends, and current franchise performance.
Analyze industry reports, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences to ensure the organization stays ahead of market shifts.
Research regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and technological advancements that influence restoration services.
Gather franchise performance data, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Collaborate with field teams to assess real-world challenges.
Outline and organize content, helping successfully compile and communicate technical content to non-technical stakeholders.
Translate complex restoration procedures into digestible materials, guides, and presentations.
Develop structured documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across operational support materials.
Work with the Learning and Development Department to shape content that enhances franchisee confidence and service execution.
Troubleshoot and propose solutions for complex issues, enabling service improvement in the field.
Diagnose operational or technical challenges and offer practical solutions.
Collaborate with restoration professionals and other stakeholders to develop streamlined processes.
Identify common pain points in restoration services and create proactive strategies to prevent recurring issues.
Provide recommendations for software tools, workflow enhancements, and equipment innovations to improve efficiency.
Write and create resources which are comprehensive and enable quality and reliable franchise execution of restoration services.
Draft whitepapers, playbooks, guides, job aids, checklists, spreadsheets, and FAQs tailored to franchise needs.
Ensure all written materials align with company standards, industry standards, and brand messaging.
Maintain an up-to-date repository of restoration practices, ensuring franchisees have access to the latest best practices.
Work with subject matter experts to refine language, ensuring accuracy and clarity in restoration-related documents.
You have
Adaptable and able to continually learn and grow.
Intermediate problem-solving abilities.
Advanced attention to detail.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audience.
Restoration industry experience preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, construction management, or a related field; or comparable experience. Combination of both is preferred.
Working Conditions
This position functions in a fast-paced corporate office environment.
The ability to travel independently and maintain a valid Driver’s License is required.
The standard working hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This position will require longer hours on occasion due to workshop scheduling or project deadlines; some scheduling flexibility will be needed to accommodate the needs of the business.
