Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Level 2 Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Level 2 Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting production and facilities operations. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Level 2 Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift!
Location: Kalkaska, MI 
Pay Range: $30 - $34/hr plus $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus

What’s the Job?

  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures, including mixers, coating equipment, slitters, and pumps

  • Conduct general electrical and mechanical repairs, including low to medium voltage shutdown/startups

  • Maintain HVAC systems (non-coolant applications) and compressed air systems

  • Participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives

What’s Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education in HVAC, electronics, or industrial mechanics preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment troubleshooting

  • Ability to read and use illustrated parts breakdown and operational manuals

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and overhead work
